TWO ARTISTS UNDER THE SAME MOON
Pacific Worn Lumber is an expression of two artists. A collaboration between photography and wood working to extend our creative minds and reconnect with the enriching nature that surrounds us. We use photography as a means to strengthen the connection us humans have with nature. If a PWL piece inspires you to get outside, catch an extra wave, or linger a little longer in the trees, then our work has done its job.
We thank you for being here,
Cassie + Jeff
OUR MISSION IS TO RESURRECT THE FORGOTTEN
the world is abundant with forgotten wood—splintered 2x4's, abandoned barns, moss-covered logs, and wood in ways we can't think of. We vow to always use what's been left behind, and resurrect Worn lumber for your homes.
At PWL we have an "Earth-First" mindset. We forage materials already used, forgotten or left that are ready for their next life. All of our lumber is locally sourced by us in California, with minimal impact on the environment.
We are conscious of our "woodprint". We save sawdust for composting and eco-friendly toilets, scrap pieces of wood are often used for stacking slabbed logs or for fires in the winter, the screws and rusty nails we come across are saved to melt down and explore its possibilities as a knife or tool or sculpture, we reuse our packing and shipping materials whenever we can, and we're eager to learn more sustainable practices we can integrate in our business.
Most of our prints are printed on paper made of 30% hemp fibers sourced sustainably through conscious growing practices, 40% recycled fibers and 30% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
